Thank you for stopping by to read my first blog post on my new website. I discovered that I had a passion for crochet and yarn (obviously) when I retired from teaching a few years ago. I watched a few “how to” crochet classes on Craftsy, picked up some yarn and a crochet hook and I was literally hooked! I started making amigurumi toys for a non-profit in need of stuffed animal reading buddies for kids in need. I still make lots of reading buddies to give to kids who read with me and my therapy dog, Phoebe at the library. I also make gifts for family and friends. Things like scarves, slippers, hats, baskets, bags, keychains, etc. You’re really only limited by your skill level, which I’m always trying to improve and your imagination. Oh, and of course, your yarn budget. As you can see in the photo, I’m a bit of a yarn hoarder. It’s just so hard to resist the multitude of colors, textures, and fibers that are available. But there is yarn for every budget and projects for every skill level. So if you’ve never crocheted before, don’t be intimidated. Come to one of my classes and I’ll help you get started on this fun, portable, creative new hobby. If you’re an advanced crocheter, these classes can be fun for you too, we can learn from each other, socialize, and get creative!

I’m offering both morning and evening classes, so check the calendar often and sign up for a class that fits your schedule. I’m looking forward to meeting you! Let’s get hooking! <3
